If my teenage boys were interested in the environment as I wish they would be, I’d walk them right toward a program like SHOE. Teenagers who are passionate about the state of the environment and want to take action are encouraged to volunteer with the Royal Botanical Gardens’ SHOE program. SHOE stands for Student Host of the Environment and provides youth volunteer opportunities and leadership training in a natural setting. Perhaps the shoe will fit someone you know?
